Pierce Brosnan up for Expendables 4

Pierce Brosnan is ready for a return to the big action movies by offering himself up for a possible Expendables IV.

The former James Bond actor has told producers he would be willing to appear in the all-star cast if they decide to make another.

Expendables III comes out in August and the cast is a who’s who of Hollywood superstars. Classic action heroes like Sylvestre Stallone, Jet Li,Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas and Mel Gibson all appear in it.

And Brosnan has already spoken to producer Avi Lerner should he decide to go ahead with a fourth installment in the franchise.

The former 007 star said:

I said to Avi Lerner, ‘If it works out and you have a good script, Avi, you know where to find me if you still want me. It’s as simple as that really.

“I had a grand time in his company. Sylvester Stallone is the one that’s given us these wonderful platforms for actors who have and had careers to go play and have fun and to entertain.

“To bring a bunch of guys together who saved the world, fought the bad guys, and put them all on the same stage, that’s crazy good.

The Irish actor was most recently seen in The Love Punch and A Long Way Down. Director Patrick Hughes’s The Expendables 3 will be released on August 14 in the UK and August 15 in the US.
