Chris Brown to do 1,000 hours of community service

Chris Brown has been ordered to do extra community service.

The singer star had his probation reinstated by a judge in Los Angeles after he agreed to complete an additional 1,000 hours of community service stemming from his 2009 sentence for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown’s probation had been revoked last month by a Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge after he was charged in a May hit-and-run traffic accident, which could have led to possible jail time.

The charges in the hit-and-run case have since been dismissed.

In 2009 Chris Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna earlier that year on the eve of the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
