US Airstrike Hits Charity Hospital In Afghanistan, Kills 19, Including 3 Children

American airstrikes have killed 19 innocent in Afghanistan when it hit the clinic of international charity Doctors Without Borders. Dozens other are injured too.

After the first explosion the lucky ones were carried by nurses and doctors to one of the bunkers of the hospital where as the less fortunate ones were seriously wounded and were too feeble to move.

The bombings were done in the Afghan city of Kunduz early Saturday. White House said it is investigating how the explosions took place near the hospital that also killed three children.

The charity said all the combatants had been informed long ago where the hospital is located. The incidence is a great violation of international humanitarian law.

Internationally the Doctors Without Borders are called as Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), which said the numbers may grow as there are many patients and staff who goes unaccounted.

MSF added all the injured and dead are Afghans.

It is not yet clear from the end of Pentagon why military airstrike was conducted in Kunduz city. The U.S. AC-130 gunship may have been positioned to defend the troops, said official.

Meanwhile, the White House has released a statement from President Barack Obama with condolences from the American people to MSF.

The Taliban terror group invaded the city earlier this week and the airstrike on charity occurred on the sixth day of the combat between Afghan government forces backed by US military and the Talibans.

In days of the combat hundreds have been injured. All are being taken care of at the charity clinic.
