Just a day after Apple launched its own version of set-up-box TV, Amazon is rumored to be coming up with its second generation Fire TV media receiver. Would it be an answer?
The first generation Fire TV was launched about a year and a half ago and it featured almost same features that are found to be with the revamped Apple TV including apps and games searching.
The upcoming second generation Fire TV media receiver was very recently uncovered by Dave Zatz. He spotted it on the FCC website that also mentioned to come equipped with a new microSD card slot, 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, USB port and an ethernet post as well. However, it is important to take note the hardware specs are not the only things that helps in selling gadgets.
As of now it is not clear whether the new device to come with an updated interface or else it would focus on gaming in a renew way. In anyways, the device would stand tall against the iDevice TV.
Dave Zatz also pointed out the Amazon product to come with 4K output and this could prove to be a killer feature.
It is assumed Amazon may soon launch the second generation Fire TV. Usually the online retail giant launches its gadgets in early fall and so the TV is expected to come by November or December. Also, it is found Amazon has listed the first generation Fire TV as unavailable.
