United Kingdom Raises Terror Alert To Maximum Level

British Prime Minister Theresa May has raised the terror threat to critical level, which is the maximum, in United Kingdom following the terrorist attack in Manchester that killed at least twenty innocent people.

Announcing the maximum level she said the country cannot ignore that a wider group of individuals are still linked to the attack.

Meanwhile, the investigators are trying to find out whether the Manchester attacker Salman Abedi had co-conspirators in the country.

As of now no such evidence has been found by the agencies and also whether Abedi really had links with overseas terrorist groups.

The UK general election is just two weeks away and amid this the rise in terror level is sure to raise eyebrows.

This is the reason May said the alert levels are set by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC), which is an independent body and responsible for determining the level based on available intelligence.

Some believes the terror level may not be reduced before June 8 when the country will go on poll as track record reveals terror attacks are launched just ahead of such elections.

In March 2004 the Madrid train bombings happened just ahead of the national election.

In 2010 cargo jets were blown up over the United States by al Qaeda in Yemen just ahead of midterm elections.

A French soldier was gunned down by ISIS inspired extremist just ahead of French presidential election on the Champs Elysees.

More to all these, the holy month of Ramadan starts Friday and the ISIS brainwashers convey its suicide soldiers they will be rewarded tenfold in paradise by carrying attacks.
