Earl Sweatshirt Says Taylor Swift’s New Video Is Offensive

Upon the release of the music video of Taylor Swfit for her new single Shake It Off, we can say that it has already gathered success from the millions of views to the support from her fans that she has been getting. However, there is one who thinks that the visuals on her video is offensive. Looks like she already got a hater on this one. Rapper Earl Sweatshirt who is from Odd Future group posted a tweet about how he feels about Taylor’s new material now going viral on YouTube.

His tweet goes saying, “Haven’t watched the Taylor Swift video and I don’t need to watch it to tell you that it’s inherently offensive and ultimately harmful.” He also continued with, “Perpetuating black stereotypes to the same demographic of white girls who hide their prejudice by proclaiming their love of the culture. For instance, those of you who are afraid of black people but love that in 2014 it’s ok for you to be trill or twerk or say n—a.” You can sense how passionate he is with what he feels about the come out of the video.

The single Shake It Off has hit the #1 chart on iTunes in less than a day since it was released but looks like her video is making a controversy. In case you haven’t watched it, you will see that she was playing different characters and some of those have been found as stereotypes by other people towards people’s races.
