If bad weather forces children to stay indoors to play, it doesn’t take long for them to get bored and restless. Luckily, if you’re living or vacationing in or around Columbus, Ohio, there is still a lot for kids to do.

Zoo Themed Play Place at Polaris Towne Center
1500 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, OH
The Columbus Zoo soft play area is one of the largest of its kind in the region. Dozens of lifelike zoo animals, rocks, and flowers constructed from durable cushioned plastic are available for kids to climb on, centered around a giant tree slide in the middle of the play place. The play place also has a single entrance, making it easier to keep tabs on children who are prone to slipping away unnoticed.
Space Themed Play Area at Tuttle Crossing Mall
5043 Tuttle Crossing Blvd, Dublin, OH
The entire solar system is represented in this space-themed soft play place, plus a meteor slide and rocket with a real steering wheel. Kids can have fun at this play place, but realize that there are three separate exits for sneaky children to slip through when parents aren’t watching. Please be aware that the play place closes daily from 2 – 2:30 for cleaning and shuts down during the holiday season.
Just because it’s rainy, too cold, or too hot to play outside doesn’t mean that kids have to stay in the house all day. Columbus has a wide variety of indoor places for kids to explore, play, learn, and be active.
