Looks like Jay Z got more than just a controversy out of his partnership with Barneys.

The New York Daily News reports that while the sales were still being tallied, as of its Friday (Jan. 3) numbers, Hov’s charitable clothing collection easily surpassed the $1 million mark in profits.

The proceeds of the collection will go to the Shawn Carter Foundation, which provides scholarships to underprivileged kids.

Jigga Man initially received a lot of side eye, criticism and boycott threats when he partnered with Barneys, a retailer that was accused of racially profiling its African American customers.

However, Jay tweaked his deal with the store to take home 100 percent of the profits for his charity as opposed to the 25 percent initially agreed upon. He also helped develop a “council specifically convened to deal with the issue of racial profiling” for Barneys.
