During a Friday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, American Idol star Jennifer Lopez talks about her new single, I Luh Ya Papi, and her 6-year-old twins Max and Emme.

The mom-of-two jokes that her kids are getting too big. “They just turned six the other day, so they are getting way too big for me,” J.Lo said. “I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

The proud mom went on to talk about the twins’ high-energy birthday party.

“They had their birthday at a trampoline place, you know the ones where you go and jump on the trampolines all day? They loved it,” she shared. “I loved it – they were asleep by eight o’clock. I was like ‘Woah!’ I’m going to do this every weekend.”

The singer-actress admits that she sees a lot of her own personality traits in her daughter Emme.

“The kids are very different she’s in charge,” she shared of her daughter. “Like most of the women in or family.”

As for her new single, “It’s called I Luh Ya Papi,” J.Lo said. “It’s a little slangy. The producer I worked with’s name is Detail. He’s a great producer. He works with a lot of hip-hop artists like Wade and all these guys and Drake and when we were doing the record, you know, it was like I love you. Right? And so I’d be like, ‘I love you Papi, I love you.’ ”

She added: “He’s like, ‘No, no. It’s I luh ya.’ And I was like, ‘I luh ya? Ya okay. I luh ya Papi, I luh ya.’ I was like ‘okay’ like every word was so micromanaged by him. It was very kind of a specific thing he wanted for the record.”

She went on to talk about her pal Leah Remini‘s decision to leave Scientology.

“It was a tough moment for her,” Jennifer shared. “You know what I mean? It’s all she knew her whole life. When you’re raised a certain way and you’re around people, you know, for a long time, you know, whatever that is it’s gonna be hard so… we’re good friends.”
