Jose Mourinho interested in England job

Jose Mourinho has admitted he would love to manage England one day.

The Chelsea boss turned the job down seven years ago before Steve McClaren was appointed as Sven Goran Eriksson’s replacement.

Now after their shambles in the World Cup in Brazil, there is fevered talk about a new boss replacing Roy Hodgson.

And Moruinho says he would be interested – but only when he finishes what he wants to achieve at Chelsea.

When asked if he would take the job, he said: “Yes, but not now.

“Not seven years ago when I had the chance. I made the right decision, my wife helped me make the right decision.

“Not now, no way. I am too young, too strong with too much appetite to train every day, to play every game, to play three times a week.”

The self appointed “Special One” says he will consider the job in the future because of his love for his adopted country.

He told ITV News: “I like your country very much. I feel at home here. Of course the passport doesn’t change, the heart doesn’t change. I’m Portuguese 100 per cent.

“But I love your country and if one day the opportunity arises then why not?”
