Some interesting special edition phones have knocked the market over past several years to commemorate or celebrate certain event and with the same purpose Huawei has launched a KFC Android phone in China.
2017 is the 30th anniversary of KFC in China. The restaurant chain giant first had set foot in the country way back in 1987 and today it is the favorite for Chinese food lovers.
KFC is the largest restaurant chain in China with more than 5,000 outlets. Over the years it has become one of the most powerful foreign brands in the country.
KFC originally is from United States.
The KFC phone comes with a 5.5-inch screen, 12-megapixel rear camera and 32GB of internal storage. It is powered by a Snapdragon 435 SoC processor and 3GB of RAM. It also comes with a pre-installed music app that facilitates creating playlists and sharing at the restaurant with others.
The phone is a version of Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus and features a fingerprint sensor on the back. It can be owned with 10,000 “K dollars,” a digital currency used by KFC China. Only 5,000 KFC customers can avail the phone.
KFC announced about its anniversary special edition phone today on its Weibo page.
As the phone is China centric, it may lack Google services. So it is suggested not to buy internationally if re-sold. Even it is doubtful whether the device will support international cellular bands.
For the people China it would turn to be a great phone if you love fried chicken.
