Kristen Stewart chosen as the new face of Chanel

Kristen Stewart has been chosen as the new face of the very high fashion brand Chanel.

The news broke at Chanel’s Métiers D’Art Paris-Dallas show in Dallas, Texas at Fair Park on Dec. 10, where the star was spotted in the front row, taking in the vintage, Americana-inspired collection.

The campaign has yet to be shot, however, Karl Lagerfeld will shoot it himself and it’s slated for a May 2014 release — and we can’t wait to see it!

While Kristen isn’t a major fixture in the front row at fashion week, we actually weren’t surprised to see her in Dallas — not only does she have a seriously stylish presence on the red carpet, but she has a great relationship with Karl.

The 23-year-old actress first met the brand’s creative director in January 2012 during a photo shoot in Paris, and she first wore Chanel for an appearance at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007. Despite the fact that she was going through a very public breakup with Robert Pattinson, she still turned up in Paris in July 2013 to support the creative director at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week and paid a visit to Coco Chanel‘s apartment.

Kristen’s close friend told Emag why they get along so well.
