Kristen Stewart: ‘You Don’t Control’ Who You Fall in Love With

Kristen Stewart admits when it comes to her career, she has “no idea what I’m doing, and that’s kind of how I love it.”

She had no clue “Twilight” was going to be huge, and that same blind outlook is how she approaches her love life.

“I really like being thrown into the unknown and then finding my way,” she told Marie Claire for its March issue. “You don’t know who you will fall in love with. You just don’t. You don’t control it.”

Stewart, 23, dated her “Twilight” co-star, Robert Pattinson, off and on for almost four years until the couple finally broke it off for good last year.

“I don’t pressure myself. … If you fall in love with someone, you want to own them – but really, why would you want that?” she asked. “You want them to be what you love. I’m much too young to even have an answer for that question.”

Stewart’s fairy tale romance with Pattinson took a turn for the worse in 2012 when photos surfaced of her kissing her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, who was married.

She issued a public apology and told Marie Claire, “I stand by every mistake I’ve ever made, so judge away.”

Even though her last relationship didn’t end well, Stewart – who agrees with people who call her an “awkward person” – still plans to have kids someday.

“I had it too good to not have that, too,” she said. “If I were to put money on it, definitely, yeah [I’d have kids]. But you earn that, like, that’s so not here yet. I mean, at this point, I can’t tell you if I want to hang out on Saturday.”
