Lindsay Lohan was pictured with Muslim’s holy book Koran a year ago when she arrived for community service and she then revealed to be studying Islam. She caused a stir.
The Mean Girls star is a Catholic-born but she got converted to Islam. However, she never revealed about her beliefs.
Lately Lohan told to The Sun she is studying the religion as she is a spiritual person and is open to learning.
She said, “America has portrayed holding a Koran in such a different way to what it actually is.”
She explained to the news magazine everyone has believes in something and ultimately it all has ties to the spiritual adviser or the god.
The 29-year-old added she had not yet finished reading the holy book saying it takes so long to complete it.
The actress has experienced good amount of troubles in her life and in 2010 she had even been jailed for ten days for drink-driving. She thereafter embraced spiritual side of her personality.
Lohan said she became more inclined towards spirituality after an interview with Jonathan Ross on a chat show where she was asked several questions about her time in prison.
She said, “It all comes down to meditation for me. I do this things called tapping.”
Lohan revealed she used it after doing the chat show as Ross was going down the prison route and she felt uncomfortable.
Lohan added, “I can hear every conversation in a room. I hear everything and I notice everything so I have to teach myself to shut my brain off.”
