A TikTok user, Lord Everett, has highlighted the differences in language and detail between the biographies of Princess Diana, King Charles III, and the Queen Consort on the Princess of Wales’s Royal Family website.
Lord Everett suggested that Diana’s biography contained more detail about her separation compared to the King and Queen’s biographies. He also noted that the language used to describe the dissolution of both marriages was different. While the word “dissolved” was used in both Charles’ and Camilla’s biographies, the term “divorced” was used in Diana’s.
An additional passage in Diana’s biography describes her unhappiness in her personal life and the pressures of her public role during a television interview in November 1995. This contrasts with the biographies of King Charles III and the Queen Consort, which only mention that their previous marriages were dissolved.
Lord Everett drew attention to the final paragraph of Camilla’s biography, which details her previous marriage to Brigadier Parker Bowles. In comparison, the passage addressing King Charles III’s marriages only states that his marriage to Princess Diana was “dissolved on August 28, 1996”.
The TikTok video, titled ‘Royal Family Website is Shady!’, has received more than 3,700 likes so far. The discrepancies in the biographies have sparked controversy among viewers and raised questions about the accuracy and transparency of the Royal Family’s public image.
