Magners Unveils New Annual Summer Nights Festival at Kelvingrove Bandstand

GLASGOW, Scotland, May 7, 2014 /Emag.co.uk/ —

Premium cider brand, Magners Irish Cider, is today (Wednesday 7 May) announcing a new music festival to be held at the recently refurbished Bandstand in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow.

Magners Summer Nights will run across two weekends in August (7th-10th and 14th-16th) with a stunning line-up including Alison Moyet, The Waterboys, Steve Earle, Squeeze, Capercaillie and Glasgow’s very own Teenage Fanclub.

The line up is as follows:

– Thursday 7 August – Steve Earle

– Friday 8 August – The Waterboys

– Saturday 9 August – Alison Moyet

– Thursday 14 August – Capercaillie

– Friday 15 August – Teenage Fanclub

– Saturday 16 August – Squeeze

Magners Summer Nights are the first major events to be announced at the 2,500 capacity bandstand since its £2 million refurbishment. Located in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park in the heart of the city’s West End, the bandstand sits between some of the city’s most stunning buildings – Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Art Gallery.

The festival will feature a Magners Village incorporating a cider garden and premium street food with areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with friends. Gates will open at 6pm each night, allowing the audience to enjoy this magnificent setting.

Magners Irish Cider is the UK’s favourite bottled apple cider brand, synonymous with spontaneous summer fun. Mark Mackie of Regular Music, promoters of the event said: “Creating and booking this series of shows was very easy. All we had to do was send photographs of the bandstand and its beautiful surroundings and the artists we invited to play said ‘yes please’.”
