Miley Cyrus won’t have to worry about not having anyone to kiss as the clock strikes midnight this year because the “Wrecking Ball” singer will be performing for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve along with Macklemore, Blondie and Icona Pop, People.com reports.
The annual New York City celebration is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy.
Miley will perform at midnight. Seacrest released a statement regarding the event, “There’s nothing like New Year’s Eve in New York with the energy and excitement from all of the people that gather throughout Times Square. You never know what’s going to happen and, as the saying goes, what happens in Times Square is seen by millions of people around the world, so you better keep it classy.”
Well, this should be interesting.
Miley has been taking the
Internet world by storm this year between her twerking, her barely-there outfits and her well-documented broken engagement to actor Liam Hemsworth. We’re looking forward to watching the 21-year old close out 2013 with a bang!
Other acts performing in Los Angeles for the event include, Jason Derulo, Fall Out Boy, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Robin Thicke, and more.
The West Coast edition will be hosted by Fergie.
Tune into ABC at 8 p.m EST for the show.
