Pia Wurtzbach, the Miss Universe 2016, received a highly anticipated homecoming parade Sunday, January 25, as she brings the crown and glory to the country after 42 long years, though equipped with controversial coronation.
Thousands of supporters flocked to the route of parade to get a glimpse of their new global celebrity. Tweets too flooded timelines everywhere with the queen’s homecoming.
The tweets were at high peak starting 3 p.m. in Manila revealing how excited the crowd was to get a glimpse the new queen. At 7 p.m. when she reached Araneta Center the tweets flooded the most. There she stood resplendent in a biege Mark Bessie Besana gown.
The parade moved at steady flow. Fans and supporters gushed over her stunning smile and silhouette. She had shinning personality adorned in a sea-green Albert Andrada gown.
According to social listening tool named Radian6 tracked by AFDigital the tweets were more than 3,000 in number and only 29 were negative. However, these negative posts were not directed towards Pia. Most of them were disappointed by not getting the opportunity to see the stunner du to their scheduled work or studies.
