Players to Watch at FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia

The 2018 FIFA World Cup is to kickoff tomorrow to showcase soccer skills of 736 players from 32 national teams. The obvious big names like Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Brazil’s Neymar would be players to watch, but there are other new boys too who will be equally cheered between June 15 and July 15.

However, there are some sad stories too. Strong players like Alexis Sanchez, Gareth Bale and Gianluigi Buffon failed to quality for the world’s biggest tournament.

The must-watch goalkeepers include Brazil’s Alisson, France’s Hugo Lloris, Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois and Spain’s David De Gea. It is important to mention here the Germany’s two great goalkeepers – Marc Andre ter Stegen and Manuel Neuer. Both will be seen in starting line-up.

The oldest player to follow is Egypt’s veteran keeper Essam al-Hadary. He is 45.

The defenders to watch include Brazil full backs Marcelo and Dani Alves, Spain duo Dani Carvajal and Jordi Alba, France’s Layvin Kurzawa and Germany’s Joshua Kimmich.

The key players at FIFA World Cup 2018 to watch include Argentina central defender Nicolas Otamendi, Portugal’s Pepe, Germany’s Mats Hummels, Spain’s Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique, France’s Samuel Umtiti and Raphael Varane and Uruguay’s Diego Godin and Raul Jimenez as well as Brazil’s Marquinhos and Thiago Silva.

Brazil’s Casemiro, Croatia’s Mateo Kovacic and ivan Rakitic, Spain’s Sergio Busquets, Serbia’s Nemanja Matic, Germany’s Toni Kroos and Likay Gundogan, France’s Paul Pogba and Belgium’s Radja Nainggolan are some of the best defensive midfielders.
