Stockholm truck attack suspect is a 39-year-old dad of Uzbekistan national and local media claims he has confessed his involvement to the Swedish police.
According to police, the man was spotted acting strangely in a shop and was not sure where to go. His Facebook page reveals his likeness to the videos published by Islamic State. He is also found to have ‘liked’ a photo of the carnage caused by Boston Marathon bombing.
He drove a truck inside a departmental store on Stockholm street on Friday afternoon that killed four people and injured 15 others including children.
Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reports the man fled into the subway following the attack.
Even though police have arrested the suspect, but they are not very sure whether he was driving the vehicle.
A friend of the suspect told to Aftonbladet the man was a quiet person and is father-of-four. He works in construction and never talks about religion or politics.
The friend added he always talked about getting more work so that he is able to send more money to his family back at home.
Two more people are being quizzed in relation to the attack.
Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said the attack was a terrorist act.
Subway network was immediately shut down after the attack and armed police were deployed at the Stockholm Central Station.
Hundreds of people are seen fleeing the area after the attack in footage.
The truck is said to be stolen and its authorized driver made a delivery short before to nearby store.
