Robyn Crawford, best friend of Whitney Houston, revealed some secrecy, confirming both were secretly lovers.
In the 1980s it was widely speculated both were romantically involved behind closed doors even though Whitney had never confirmed when she was alive.
Whitney married Bobby Brown and throughout the years Robyn maintain a complete silence over the matter.
Robyn is now releasing a memoir with details about their romantic relationship and she admits they were physical too.
In a song the 58-year-old tells, “I’d come to the point where I felt the need to stand up for our friendship. And I felt an urgency to stand up and share the woman behind the incredible talent.”
She adds that her age was 19 when first met Whitney, who was then 16, at an East Orange, New Jersey summer camp.
The two became close quickly and Robyn said the singer, “I’m going to look out for you… We wanted to be together and that meant just us.”
Robyn added their physical relationship ended in 1982 when Whitney signed a recording deal with Clive Davis on Arista citing the journey would become difficult thereafter.
Robyn further said, “She said if people find out about us, they would use this against us and back in the 80s that’s how it felt.”
Whitney had earlier said that her mother Cissy Houston said two women coming so close is not natural.
