Samsung Announces To Launch Galaxy Note 7 On August 2

Samsung has sent invitations to media houses mentioning “7 Unpacked,” which means the launching of much awaited Galaxy Note 7 to take place.

Samsung has jumped in the naming of its Note device from 5 to 7, skipping 6, and it is believed the South Korean giant wants to align the device with other Galaxy device, the Galaxy S7, each year.

Rumors suggest the Galaxy Note 7 to come with a large screen and S Pen too. However, we need to wait for another three weeks to check what’s in store for enthusiast users.

Several tech websites earlier claimed the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, curved display of course like the one seen in S7 Edge. The device would be water resistance and to be mounted with a high-end camera. It is believed to be fueled by a battery larger than the S7 Edge, probably 4,000 mAh as seen on the S7 Active. Also, not to forget it may come with iris scanner technology for extra security.

Apart from these hopes, the device may come with USB Type-C as other Android phones are following the trend moving away from microUSB. If this turns true, the current Samsung Gear VR headset may not work with the upcoming Galaxy Note 7.
