Sofia Vergara has conquered the clothing and cosmetics markets, and now the sultry star is launching her own flowery fragrance.
The Modern Family actress, 41, will expand her brand with an eponymous perfume, Sofia, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
The scent will be sold on HSN beginning April 24, with a 50-ml bottle priced at $48.
For Vergara, her debut fragrance smells like home. “I have orchids and roses because those are my favorite flowers, and they’re Colombian,” she told WWD.
“I wanted to bring a little bit of who I am, my ethnicity, where I’m from, and I thought it was very cool to be able to get flowers from Colombia actually into the perfume.”
Known for her glamorous, figure-flaunting fashion choices, Vergara made sure her product appears as sparkly as her signature red carpet style.
“We created the bottle to look like a cut emerald. Actually, I have an emerald that looks just like it, a ring. At first, we put it in green, but that was too much. So, then we thought of other colors. I wanted to have something classy that you can put on your boudoir and it looks pretty,” she said.
“We finally found this perfect [pink] color [for the juice and dispenser] and it all came together.”
Vergara is no stranger to celebrity endorsements: She was named the face of CoverGirl in 2011, promotes Head & Shoulders shampoo and has her own fashion empire with Kmart.
