Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Released On ESPN At Halftime Of Monday Night Football

Did you watch the Monday Night Football on ESPN yesterday between the Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles? Did you notice something very unexpected and very exciting? Did you see the trailer debut of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at halftime?

This installment of Star Wars franchise is the 7th live-action film over all and also it is the first since the 2005’s Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

The two-and-a-half minute trailer had a purpose to promote advance purchasing of tickets even though the movie will not hit the theaters before December 18.

The new trailer offered glimpses of much more than last year’s 90-second teaser in November. It explained the new characters. Rey is looking like an alien in scavenger gear, which is a slight nod to Leia of Return Of The Jedi who came to rescue Han.

The second trailer of the movie was released earlier this year on April 16 at the Star Wars Celebration convention in Los Angeles. It was a two-minute teaser and featured some glimpses of crashed Star Destroyers, Darth Vader’s burned breath mask and narration from Luke Skywalker.

The trailer confirmed the original trilogy cast were on board. It featured clip of Harrison Ford along with his loyal co-pilot Chewbacca who was seen walking onto the Millennium Falcon.

It also featured the production artwork, extensive look behind the scene, the incomplete action sequences and filming miniatures as well.

The trailer featured interview with Mark Hamil too with some clips of Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels on the set.
