Seven months after giving birth to her first child, Tamar Braxton received a very special push present from husband Vincent Herbert.
The 35-year-old singer showed off the new huge diamond ring she received over the holidays during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
“I don’t know if it’s a Christmas present because my husband owed me a push gift and I didn’t get it,” Braxton explained while showing off her rock. “So I think this is like a combination.”
“Now, when he gave that to you it comes in a box this size, obviously, so when you open it what are your thoughts there?” host Ellen DeGeneres asked.
“I thought he was, like, joking at first because when I opened the box it had a light in it. I thought it was weird. I was like, ‘What are you doing?’ . . . He was like, ‘I have to show you something on this hill’ and it was dark outside. I was like, ‘Dude, I’m not going outside.’ I’m afraid of lions, and tigers, and bears. All of them.”
“Where do y’all live?” DeGeneres asked. “This is Hollywood.”
“All the way in Calabasas, honey,” the “All the Way Home” singer said. “All the way.”
“Okay, there’s no tigers,” the host argued.
“Maybe girl. I don’t know,” Braxton joked. “So anyway, we open the box and it was light and I was like, ‘What?’ And I looked down and I was like . . . (giggles). So I won.”
Braxton gave birth to son Logan on June 6. “Logan is the best newborn ever. I know — I have 13 nieces and nephews!” Braxton told Us at the time. “He’s quiet, so not like me at all . . . Very disappointing!” she joked.
