United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May is said to be meeting United States President Barack Obama on Sunday at the G20 summit in China.
May succeeded David Cameron in July and this is the first time she will be meeting Obama.
It is important here to note Obama had earlier this year in April said UK would be shuffled to the back of the queue in trade deals if it would exit the 28-nation European Union (EU) block.
Durign the G20 summit Britain hopes to start new talks with the US on its own trading arrangements amid reports the trade between the US and EU have been stalled.
Meanwhile, a White House official said the two leaders would talk on various bilateral and global issues and both the countries would enjoy an enduring special relationship.
Britain said the talks between Obama and May would explore how the relationship of both the countries as close friends and steadfast allies would look after Brexit is worked out finally.
May will also be meeting other world leaders at the G20 summit in China and she will try to convince them Britain is open for business post Brexit.
Britain had earlier said the G20 is a good opportunity for May to send a clear message to some of the biggest economies of the world and to continue pay a confident and bold look as the Brexit is in process.
Amid all these experts believe the Brexit process may take at least three years to complete. Some even say the post Brexit era may be a decade away from now.
