Prime Minister Theresa May has arrived in Philadelphia and is scheduled to meet United States President Donald Trump tomorrow in the White House.
She said will be striking up a strong working relationship with the US President as opposites attract.
May will be the first international leader to meet Trump after his inaugural as president.
Britain is currently under process of withdrawing from European Union and amid this May is trying to build relationship with international leaders including Trump.
Lately Trump has sparked fresh outage by suggesting torture was effective. Replying to the media about such statement May said she would not be afraid to take the new president to task on use of torture.
May said, “We have a very clear view: we condemn the use of torture, and my view on that won’t change, whether I’m talking to you, or talking to President Trump.”
May talked to the media while on the way to Philadelphia where she was to address senior Republicans before flying to Washington.
The two leaders had earlier made it clear to be working closely.
Meanwhile, back home, May announced last week providing thousands of new homes to first-time buyers. She said the government will support those buyers who are in the age group of 23 and 40 and thirty areas around United Kingdom will be unlocked to build the properties. The new homes will be ready for buyers from 2018 as the constructions will start early this year.
