The circumstances on which Jeremy Clarkson was sacked by BBC was bizzare, said the new host of Top Gear.
Clarkson had punched the Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon after learning after a day of filming the hot food is not available.
The new host Chris Evans said, “What is more fascinating is that he went for what he went for, considering what had gone on before.”
Evans added the sacked Top Gear host had a series of controversies in past five or six years and once he went for losing his rag over dinner during international incidents.
He has also been accused of making several xenophobic earlier as well as racist comments. He called Romania as Borat country having gypgies and Russian playboys.
Clarkson caused outrage too by driving a car numbered H982 FKL in Argentina as it was believed to have a reference to the Falklands War.
The two hosts have not met in some time but Evans still considers Clarkson as his hero.
Evans said, “He is one of my heroes. He’s entertaining. He was great on Top Gear and I love his writing.”
The program with new host will be aired in May.
