The Voice Top 5 Revealed: Team Adam Stands Strong

Adam Levine is continuing to dominate Season 5 of the voice! On Monday night, the top 6 contestants performed two songs each, and this week, only one faced elimination, with the remaining five advancing to the semi-finals.

First, Christina Aguilera’s 16-year-old powerhouse Jacquie Lee was announced safe, followed by Blake Shelton’s lone-standing singer Cole Vosbury. That left the Maroon 5 frontman with all three of his contestants, as well as Xtina’s Matthew Schuler, wondering if they’d move on.

Tessanne Chin, the powerful Jamaican vocalist from Team Adam, was announced next, followed by her teammate Will Champlin. Still standing were Matthew and James Wolpert, vying for the instant save vote on Twitter. After convincing speeches from both of their coaches, and an antagonizing commercial break, fans pulled through for James, leaving Adam with all three of his live-show finalists moving on.

That means Christina and Blake each have only one contestant left, and of course, CeeLo Green still has none after last week’s elimination. All season long, it’s been Adam’s goal to take down his buddy Blake, who’s won three years in a row…and it’s looking like he’s right on track to do so!

Still, Cole has been a fan-favorite since the beginning, while people are constantly mesmerized by Jacquie’s ability to sound like an old soul at such a young age…so, really, it’s still anybody’s game!
