New Subcounty Population and Housing Unit Estimates to be Embargoed

WASHINGTON, May 13, 2014 /Emag.co.uk/ — The U.S. Census Bureau will offer a two-day embargo period next week for embargo subscribers to view the 2013 population estimates for all local governmental units, including incorporated places, minor civil divisions and consolidated cities. Housing estimates will be released for the nation, states and counties.

The 2013 subcounty population estimates and the housing estimates will be posted to the Census Bureau’s embargo site at 10 a.m. EDT Tuesday, May 20. The public release will be at 12:01 a.m. EDT Thursday, May 22.

The embargoed information may not be published or posted online until the public release date and time. Furthermore, wire and distribution services are prohibited from distributing embargoed news releases and data files to subscribers before the public release date and time.
